    How do I see the fitness videos you're posting every day?

    We're offering live group exercise classes on the MNjcc Fitness Instagram account (@mnjccfitness) and our Facebook page. If you miss the live class, it will remain in our Instagram stories for 24 hours and permanently on Facebook  

    We also post many, though not all of our videos to our new YouTube channel. Please subscribe!  

    Will I get my money back for missed programs?

    If you had already paid for spring programs/or monthly fees from before our building closed, your dollars from March 15th onwards have been automatically credited for your future use at the MNjcc (including our growing suite of online programs). Many of you have also expressed interest in supporting the MNjcc by converting these or future fees into donations to the MNjcc. You may share your preference to convert your fees (current and/or future) into a donation – or share any other requests - here.

    What about summer camp?

    In line with the announcement from the City of Toronto, the Miles Nadal JCC has made the difficult decision to cancel in-person summer camps this year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our staff will be reaching out to camp families to arrange credit or refund options for any camp fees you have already paid.     What about private swim lessons?

    Your payment is on hold for your future use at the MNjcc.

    What about annual memberships?

    Your annual membership is currently on hold while we are closed. Once we reopen, your expiry date will extend for the amount of time that we were closed, so you will still get a full year of membership!

     What about personal training?

    Your payment is on hold for your future use at the MNjcc; however, we now offer online personal training! Only $99 for three 30 minute sessions.  This is a challenging time to stay active and keep fit.  Also, it’s hard to be motivated to exercise on your own.  We understand and we are here for you!  If you are interested in learning more, please click here and fill out an interest profile

    What programs will you offer online?

    We have a lot going on! The best way to see what’s happening at the virtual MNjcc is to check our schedule (updated weekly) and/or stay connected to us through social media. We offer daily live fitness and wellness classes, family-friendly programming, access and inclusion initiatives, Jewish life experiences and cultural arts.

    How do I contact staff members?

    Our staff members are currently working from home which makes it difficult to reach them by phone. If you have an email address for them you can continue using that. Please be aware that as the situation continues, we may not have a full complement of staff and reaching them may not be possible. 

    What kind of exercise can I do for my arthritis/pain/etc., without the pool? 

    If you have joint pain, start gently and gradually increase the length of time you’re exercising. You can break this into smaller chunks if you need to. Doing 5–10 minutes of exercise (stretching, gentle weight-bearing exercises using prime movers and modified yoga) each day will help you keep your joints moving and your muscles strong. Depending on the severity of your arthritis you may need to do some exercises in a sitting position, but a little goes a long way. Stay positive and active as much as you can.

    Will cancelled programs be offered when you reopen?

    We are actively working with our instructors to plan for what is possible when we reopen and would make financial arrangements with you for use of a credit, or an all-new registration process.

    When can I use the credits?

    As soon as the J is up and running again, you’ll be able to use your credits towards our next available session.

    How can we request online programs?

    When will the building reopen?

    We don’t have a re-opening date yet, but we are actively following public health recommendations for the City.

    Do you have SMS services for those who only use mobile/cellular phone?

    Do you offer fitness equipment to rent during this time?

    We don’t, unfortunately. Our entire building and all of our equipment has been sanitized and is waiting patiently for our members to return! In the meantime, why not work out with what you have at home? Canned goods and laundry detergent jugs make great free weights!

    Do I still have a membership?
