    Customer Service Representative – Permanent Part-time

    Reports to Director of Guest Services

    The MNjcc Guest Services team is looking for friendly and outgoing part-time Customer Service Reps.  Applicants must have excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be computer literate and have availability on weekends.  Cash handling experience and flexibility to stay on staff beyond summer months is preferred. 

    Short Description of the Position:

     

    As one of the primary points of contact for members, guests and staff in our facility, the Customer Service Representatives at our Welcome Desks (Information Desk & Fitness Desk) are responsible for both greeting and assisting our visitors. The ultimate goal of providing exceptional service to all visitors is achieved through the CSR’s consistent commitment to demonstrating the qualities of sincerity, enthusiasm, affability, and responsiveness.  Staff are expected to be cross-trained for both Desks, which includes a combination of standing and sitting for 3-8 hours (depending on scheduled shift). Shifts start as early as 5:15am and are scheduled as late as 10:30pm.

     

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Actively create memorable guest experiences by making personal connections and following through on requests from members and guests.
    • Communicate professionally, helpfully, and positively with clients regarding policies, procedures, and everyday operations.
    • Monitor Access Control systems – ensure all access card holders swipe in successfully at the Information Desk, all guests sign-in and verbalize where they would like to go; all fitness members swipe in at the Fitness Desk; grant elevator access when applicable.
    • Process sales and collect payment for Drop-in passes, Massage Therapy treatments, Personal Training sessions, and much more.
    • Complete program registration activities by phone or in person and provide support to those needing assistance with online registration.
    • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date data in various databases (CSI, Keyscan).
    • Abide by and act in accordance to operational policies, and communicate those policies to members and guests when needed.
    • Maintain a very busy email inbox
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about Welcome Desk procedures, program information, and events in the facility
    • Receive and direct calls on a multi-line phone system.
    • Other reception duties as required.

     

    Qualifications and Requirements:

     

    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to stand for long durations
    • Good computer skills; able to quickly enter data and troubleshoot when necessary
    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to learn quickly, good sense of self-awareness
    • Punctual and reliable; willingness to cover shifts as needed
    • Friendly and approachable, strong teamwork skills
    • Strong attention to detail

     

    Salary and Benefits:

     

    $14.00/hour.  Includes access to our fitness facility on days that you work.
