    After School Program Staff – Part Time Position

    Reports to Manager of After School Program and Camp 

    Short Description of the Position:

    • If you love working with children then this job is for you. We are looking for committed and reliable people who are positive and love working with children. The Miles Nadal JCC After School Program provides age-appropriate, stimulating and safe activities for school-age children. Monday to Friday (Flexibility with days worked); 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm from September to June

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the health, safety and well-being of the children in the program.
    • Escort children from neighbourhood schools to the Miles Nadal Jcc
    • Create and deliver age appropriate programming taking into account varying levels and abilities of children in the program.
    • Come prepared for the day’s activities.
    • Provide assistance to fellow staff as needed.
    • Supervise children in the program indoors and outdoors; actively engage with them.
    • Assist in conducting surveys for periodic program evaluation.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Have to have 2-5 years’ experience working with children
      • First Aid and CPR certification.
      • Clear vulnerable sector screening (6 months prior to hire)
      • Up to date Immunization Record (Tetanus, TB screening)
      • Have sufficient computer knowledge in word and excel to maintain records
      • Knowledge and compliance of health regulations
    • Ability to communicate easily with parents and other staff

    Salary and Benefits:

    • $14.00/Hour
