Schedule:
Various shifts available during regular business hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that all safety and lifeguarding procedures are adhered to, and in the event of an emergency respond as trained by the Lifesaving Society and Miles Nadal JCC.
Ensures that members and staff adhere to pool conduct guidelines and use a proactive approach to ensuring safety and accident prevention.
Sets up and takes down equipment and inspects equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
Conducts facility inspections, completes opening and closing checklists, daily scheduled chemical tests, and advises supervisor of any concerns found
Complete accident and incident reports when necessary
Provide information to members regarding procedures, programs, schedule, and special events.
Maintains a clean and safe environment
Depending on shift, responsible for opening and/or closing procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
National Lifeguard, Standard First Aid, CPR-C
Candidates must be able to legally work in Canada.
A Criminal Record Check is a condition of employment for all staff.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary starting at $17.50/hr based on experience and shift type
For the duration of employment, you are entitled to a membership for the Miles Nadal JCC fitness centre with access to all classes and amenities.
All part-time staff are entitled to 2 personal emergency leave days per year.

As an employee of the Miles Nadal JCC, Lifeguards will be reporting to the Aquatics Manager and Lesson Coordinators. Lifeguards are responsible for safety, supervision, and first aid response at the Freddie Shore Aquatic Centre at the Miles Nadal JCC.
