Fees and Admission

    Returning students of the Preschool and Libbie Cowan Childcare Centre and their siblings will be given first priority to our available spots. The remaining spots will be offered to children based on receipt of application and deposit. There can be a maximum number of children in each age group. This takes priority over admission request time. It is understood that enrollment is for the full school year and regrettably no fee deductions will be made for temporary absences.  Please note that all deposits are non-refundable. Applications for the following year will be sent out to families the preceding fall.

    All children enrolled in the program receive a free Active J membership for the year that they are enrolled (August 1 - July 31)

    Please Note: Both the 2020-2021 Preschool Application Form and the 2020-2021 Financial Contract must be completed and submitted together for your application to be considered.

    MNjcc Waitlist Policy

    The Thomas & Marjorie Schwartz Preschool Centre and the Libbie Cowan Childcare Centre hope to be able to offer spots to all those that apply. Unfortunately, due to Ministry restrictions on numbers and room sizes, this is not always possible. Our wait list policy is as follows.

    When you have decided that you may want to send your child to one of our programs, please send us full contact information for your child including your name, your child’s name, address, phone number, address and email address. Please also include your child’s date of birth and to which program you wish them to attend; toddlers, preschool (includes JK) or After School as well as your preferred start month and year.

    No deposit is necessary at this time.

    For Toddlers: once a spot opens up you will be contacted. At that time you will be given 1 week to decide if you would like to accept the spot. If you do decide to send your child a deposit of your first monthly payment will be necessary to be sent in along with a signed financial contract. This process guarantees a spot in our program. 

    For Preschoolers: applications will be sent out in the fall of the previous year you want your child to attend. Spots will be offered on a first come first serve basis with the receipt of completed application forms, financial contracts and specific deposits.

    Please note that this does not guarantee a spot in the program. You will be notified if there is/is not a spot available. If there is a spot then your deposit is non-refundable. If there is not a spot your deposit will not be cashed. If a spot opens up later you will be notified and if you accept the spot then your deposit will be cashed at that time.

    For School Agers: applications will be sent out in the spring of the upcoming September you want your child to begin. Spots will be offered on a first come first serve basis with the receipt of completed application forms, financial contracts and specific deposits.

    Please note that this does not guarantee a spot in the program. You will be notified if there is/is not a spot available. If there is a spot then your deposit is non-refundable. If there is not a spot your deposit will not be cashed. If a spot opens up later you will be notified and if you accept the spot then your deposit will be cashed at that time.

    Please note that spots will be offered in sequence of place on list. The exception to this would be for children who are offered priority to the spot. These include present students, siblings of prior or present students, children of staff members and siblings of those attending Paul Penna DJDS.
