The main goal of the program is to provide children and youth with the strength and confidence to avoid conflict. While still including the physical training, this course seeks to develop skills that can be translated into everyday life: the ability to stand up for oneself; discipline and focus; having the confidence to present in front of a group; and self-awareness. In addition to the karate training, once per session a guest artist who specializes in a health and wellness topic or another form of martial arts will be invited to teach an introductory class in their field.
