    For Holocaust Education Week

    "Jewish", "Degenerate", "Bolshevik" were terms the Nazis used to describe any music not acceptable to the Third Reich. "Degenerate" meant the content, political view, composer's religion or race. All Jewish musicians and composers were dismissed; many fled and were later killed. Learn how this happened and how people coped.

Enjoy a Jewish-themed concert featuring renowned cantors, rabbis and popular musicians, as well as a participatory Shabbat ceremony, challah and traditional treats. Presented in partnership with the Bernard Betel Centre and Healthy at Home.

    A concert with folk singing duo Sue & Dwight and Henry Lees.
    Iconic 1960s folk music trio Peter, Paul and Mary created anthems of social change, and their harmony-laden recordings ushered them to the top of the charts. Prominent in the civil rights and anti-war movements, their repertoire included such top 10 hits as If I Had a Hammer, Blowin’ in the Wind, Leaving on a Jet Plane and Puff the Magic Dragon

    Tickets will be available for in-person sales on the morning of each Thursday program, on a first-come, first-served basis. A percentage of tickets are available for advance online registration for weekly Thursday afternoon programs.

With their vintage tones and powerful vocal harmonies, this four-piece band captures the sound and the energy of this watershed time in music history.
