    Class Descriptions

Beginner level:  Open to any adult or parent of a Suzuki student (cello, violin, viola) whose playing ability ranges from beginner Twinkles to Early Book 1 level on their instrument, who are interested in developing their playing skills and rudimentary ensemble skills. This class could function in a similar manner to Suzuki group classes, Players from this group could eventually feed into the intermediate level. Players at this level are advised to take private lessons alongside of taking this ensemble class. This class will be taught by an MNjcc Suzuki Program teacher.

Intermediate/Advance level:  Open to any adult or parent of a Suzuki student (cello, violin, viola), whose playing ability ranges from Late Book 1 – Book 3 and beyond or RCM grade 1-4 and beyond level on their instrument and/or have studied strings in high school, at university, or other settings, thus have a certain level of ability, and music reading ability, yet may not have played their instrument for some time. This would be for players interested in developing their ensemble playing skills beyond a rudimentary level. Repertoire focus will be “classical” e.g. level appropriate music ranging from Suzuki repertoire through simple baroque, classical, romantic, and/or 20th century era pieces. This class will be taught by an MNjcc Suzuki Program teacher.
