    Bronze Star Medal

    Prerequisite: 11-13 years of age

    Recommended for anyone who is interested in later Bronze courses, this leadership course introduces swimmers to the basics of safe and responsible aquatic rescues. This level is an excellent preparatory level for Bronze Medallion and is a prerequisite if the swimmer is under the age of 13.

    Bronze Cross Medal

    Prerequisite: 13+ years of age

    Bronze Medallion & Emergency First Aid

    Bronze Cross challenges participants with advanced training and introduces aquatic facility supervision. Swimmers are trained to respond to a variety of Standard First Aid situations. This course is the prerequisite for the National Lifeguard Service.

    Bronze Medallion Medal

    Prerequisite: 13+ years of age OR have completed Bronze Star

    This course incorporates the four components of water rescue: judgement; knowledge; skill; and fitness. Participants learn how to deal with Emergency First Aid situations both in and out of the water. Successful completion of the in-water examination and written test is required to receive this certification.

    Prerequisite: 11-14 years of age

    Basic first aid and caregiving skills. Learn how to provide care to younger children and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Training is also provided on how to promote yourself to prospective parents/clients.

    Ages 9+

    Learn the importance of responsibility and respect while being accountable for yourself and how to stay safe at home and within the community. Participants learn the importance of setting and following rules around safety when staying on their own, including basic First Aid!
