Students will be introduced to classic Klezmer grooves, as well music from other folk traditions from around Europe. Playing these tunes, students will learn traditional ornamentation and accompaniment styles, as well as ways to break the mold and try new things. Klez-mish will focus on interpersonal musical skills such as arranging tunes from scratch, improvising melodies and harmonies, and creating music as a mixed ensemble. All instruments are welcome. Directed by Zoe Santo.

Open to players in their teens and twenties with a minimum of 2-3 years of playing experience.
