Meet up at the corner of Sinai and Spadina for our biggest Downtown Tikkun Leil Shavuot yet! The downtown Toronto Jewish community gathers together for an all-night Jewish learning festival to mark the occasion on which the ancient Israelites awaited the revelation of the Torah at Sinai. Drop by for an hour or stay the whole night and enjoy a variety of classes including: Torah and Talmud study, philosophy, Jewish yoga, meditation, and more. Special programs for kids and teens. FREE and all are welcome.

Family Tikkun and Potluck Shavuot Dinner

NEW THIS YEAR! A Shavuot experience catered to families with young children. This interactive program will include dinner, singing, storytelling and Shavuot activities that will be fun for the whole family, and the perfect lead-up to the Downtown Tikkun. Stay for a family swim break at 7:30 pm before the main Tikkun starts! Please bring a vegetarian (including dairy) dish to share (ensure there's enough for 10 people), made from kosher ingredients. We will be using the “three table” buffet system: one table from kosher kitchens where only hechshered (Kosher symbol) food is prepared; one table from vegetarian kitchens where food isn’t hechshered; and one table from any kitchen. Please bring a lsit of ingredients with your dish to assist those with allergies. If you prefer not to bring food, you can also make a financial contribution (suggested donation $10 per person or $25 per family) to the MNjcc in advance. Kids Tikkun

Optional pajama party and sleepover start at midnight

Get excited for the Kids Tikkun! Kids ages 5-12 are invited to come and learn about the holiday of Shavuot through interactive games, food, and fun! We will celebrate the receiving of the Torah with drama games, ice cream making, a treasure hunt, and more. We encourage all children to join us for a night of fun learning and excitement. Parents are encouraged to sign up to assist with the pajama party and sleepover. See you there!

Teen Tikkun

Participate in a teen-envisioned, teen-centered, teen community for Tikkun Leil Shavuot! Choose from back-to-back sessions that engage the arts, food, movement, ideas, discussion, and more. Join teens

(13 to 18) from the entire downtown corridor for one fabulous evening! Teens are invited to stay past midnight and join in the general Tikkun.
