Intro to Tai Chi is an holistic physical exercise program with moving meditation. Tai Chi is an 800 year-old art that many generations have practiced to strengthen the body and cultivate a calm centered mind. Try this class and get the internal energy of "Chi" to flow better. All classes are accessible and inclusive for everyone and no prior experience is required. First class is available for a free trial.

Drop-in Yoga Classes

Our Group Exercise classes are FREE for members, and can be accessed with a Day Pass if you are not a Fitness Centre member. Types of yoga Classes include Ashtanga Yoga (Power Yoga), Yoga Flow, and Restorative Yoga. Intro Yoga for Men

Instructor: Jasmyn Hoa Tang

An introductory course designed for men to learn the basics of yoga and gently open up the body to build flexibility and strength. Through slow and mindful guidance, participants will explore movement with gentle poses designed to open up typically tight areas of the shoulders, chest, hips and hamstrings.

Joy of Movement: Nia Dance

Experience the joy of movement through an energizing cardio-dance fitness. This accessible and inclusive program creatively blends elements of the martial arts, dance and healing arts. If you want to feel better moving in your body while having fun and getting a great workout, this class is for you! If you have any difficulty moving due to joint pain or from any somatic pain this class would be ideal for you too!

Yoga for Back Pain

Facilitator: Jasmyn Hoa Tang

Back pain symptoms can range in intensity from mild to severe and can be acute or chronic. Symptoms range from low back strain, to pain in the upper or mid back, to Sciatica pain radiating into the low back and legs. In most of these cases, compression of the vertebrae and weakness of the muscles surrounding the spine are the most likely contributors to back pain.
