You Gotta Laugh… or Do You? A Conversation on Comedy in Crazy Times

Donald Trump, famine, rising anti-Semitism… are there subjects too serious to kibitz about and is it okay to laugh when the world is going meshugeh?  Add four Jewish comedians… discuss.  

David Gale is an award-winning host, actor, writer, singer, improviser, director and producer (davidgale.net). Diane Flacks is a writer, actor and unabashed Jewish activist artist. Most recently she wrote and starred in Unholy, a play about women and religion for Nightwood Theatre (dianeflacks.com). For the last 30 years, Marla Lukofsky has performed stand-up comedy in every major city in Canada, the United States and the UK. She is also a jazz vocalist and a voice actor (marlalukofsky.com). Simon Rakoff is widely regarded as one of Canada’s top MCs and has appeared at clubs, pubs, campuses and corporate events across Canada and in the US, as well as on numerous television shows (simonrakoff.com).
