MNjcc’s Shabbat Together is a monthly series emphasizing positive, accessible and meaningful Shabbat experiences for the downtown Jewish community. Each Shabbat Together offers participatory services, blessings, dinner and interactive activities.
No Shush Shabbats serve families and individuals who have felt ‘shushed’ out of Jewish communal spaces or who have not been able to enjoy them due to a lack of accessibility. These are family-friendly, inclusive, participatory, energetic and noisy by design!
LGBTQ+ Ally Shabbats provide a welcoming space for those who identify as part of the wider Jewish LGBTQ+ community to connect in a meaningful, inclusive way during Shabbat.
Community Shabbats welcome those in the Jewish community who may experience financial or other barriers to celebrating or observing Shabbat.
As the coordinating agency of the Downtown Jewish Community Council (DJCC), the MNjcc brings together over 40 downtown Jewish schools, youth groups, prayer communities and congregations, social service agencies, and cultural and recreational programs that serve you year-round. The DJCC invigorates our community by promoting cooperation, resource-sharing and partnerships between its member organizations.
Let us connect you to the resources you need!
