Groove School of Dance!

Groove's focus on self esteem and creativity, rather than competition, is what keeps the company growing. The atmosphere at Groove is family-friendly, whether it be the homemade costumes or the warm, loving teachers who make sure each child feels like the individuals they are. Groove is also one of the first dance studios that encourages children with special needs. Over the years children with autism, down syndrome, and visual and hearing impairment have danced here as well. Read more below to see the wide range of offerings for ages 3-12!

Joy of Movement: Nia Dance

Experience the joy of movement through an energizing cardio-dance fitness. This accessible and inclusive program creatively blends elements of the martial arts, dance and healing arts. If you want to feel better moving in your body while having fun and getting a great workout, this class is for you! If you have any difficulty moving due to joint pain or from any somatic pain this class would be ideal for you too!

Swing Dance Classes

Tuesdays, May 9 - June 20, 2017

11:00 am – 12:00 pm: dance lesson
12:00 – 12:15 pm: social dance & practice

Fee: $87.50/7 classes
Drop-in: $15.00/class

2% CIF plus HST charges may apply

Come on, get happy – dance all your cares away! Learn joyful swing dances from the 1920s-1950s, including Lindy Hop/Jitterbug, Jive, Balboa and more. All ages welcome - no experience necessary, no partners required.

Wheel Dance: Latin Dance

Sundays, April 9 - May 28 (no class May 21)
12:00 - 1:00 pm

$70 or $10 per class

2% CIF plus HST charges may apply

Learn Latin Dance in a comfortable and accessible environment. Classes will cover the basic elements of partner dancing, with an emphasis on basic patterns, turns and timing, moving across the dance floor, and having fun. A mixed abilities class - everyone welcome. Bring a partner or come on your own.
