About your facilitator:
Jeanette Herrle discovered rowing as an adult, when a group of Queen’s University English Dept faculty decided it would be fun to do a Learn to Row in 2002 at the Kingston Rowing Club, and muddled their way through under the tutelage of future Olympian Morgan Jarvis. Having competed with a modicum of success as a Masters athlete for the past decade, first as a cox and then as a rower, she went to Hanlan Boat Club in 2006 and fell in love with its rustic charm and endless expanse of water. With nearly twenty years of academic teaching experience at the secondary and postsecondary levels, she has come to love coaching and introducing people of all ages to rowing. Jeanette is excited to be able to share with the JCC community that feeling of achievement which comes when you give it ALL, as this beautiful, intense sport demands.
