Groove School of Dance!

Groove's focus on self esteem and creativity, rather than competition, is what keeps the company growing. The atmosphere at Groove is family-friendly, whether it be the homemade costumes or the warm, loving teachers who make sure each child feels like the individuals they are. Groove is also one of the first dance studios that encourages children with special needs. Drop-In Basketball

Drop-in basketball is for people of all skill levels that love to play in a competitive environment. Two courts and six nets available. Bring your own ball or borrow one of ours! $20 + ID deposit required to borrow.

KidsPlay

(Ages 6-12) 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Children need to play! KidsPlay provides the space and equipment for kids to play soccer, basketball or hockey without exercises or drills. A staff is on-court to ensure safety, but the rest is left to the players! Nets, sticks, balls and goalie equipment will be provided. Please note that this is for recreational players and not appropriate for rep-level and above. Parental supervision is required.

Youth Karate

Saturdays, January 13 - March 10, 2018
(Ages 7-14) 10:30 am – 12:00 pm

This course offers a balance of challenge and fun in a safe, non-violent environment. The main goal of the program is to provide children and youth with the strength and confidence to avoid conflict. While still including the physical training, this course seeks to develop skills that can be translated into everyday life: the ability to stand up for oneself; discipline and focus; having the confidence to present in front of a group; and self-awareness. In addition to the karate training, once per session a guest artist who specializes in a health and wellness topic or another form of martial arts will be invited to teach an introductory class in their field.

Jr. Karate

This brand new extension of Youth Karate is a perfect introduction to Karate that fosters a challenging and safe, non-violent environment, while building the strength and confidence to avoid conflict.

Fit Kids

Build physical and social skills through games and group activities. Fit Kids encourages positive body image and promotes a healthy lifestyle in a non-competitive, social environment.

Floor Hockey Academy

Instruction will focus on individual skills, team participation, and fundamentals of the game such as passing, shooting and stick handling as well as the importance of exercising. Coach: Kassie Roache

Mega Hoops

(Ages 6-9) 5:30 - 6:30 pm

Mega Hoops is an inclusive children's basketball program in collaboration with the Ontario Basketball Association. OBA-certified instructors will teach physical literacy, fundamental movement and basketball skills in a supportive environment, guided by Canadian Sport for Life principles. Kids will also try Wheelchair-basketball with the Wheelchair Sports Association.
