With musician Yitzhak Argaman

Celebrate Shabbat and enjoy a concert in Hebrew, Yiddish and English with popular entertainer Yitzhak Argaman. Program includes a Shabbat ceremony led by children from the Thomas and Marjorie Schwartz Preschool, challah, grape juice and traditional treats.

Popular musician and entertainer Yitzhak Argaman was born in Israel. It was during his service in the Israeli army that he picked up his first guitar, taught himself to play, and formed his first singing group. While in his early 20s, Yitzhak came to Canada to study, and he has since established a career as a music teacher and a musician.
He is also a band leader and entertains at countless simchas and performances in Toronto and across Canada. Yitzhak is mostly known for his Hebrew singing - his roots as a sabra enable him to retain the authentic Israeli flavour of the songs and capture spirit of Israel and its contemporary musical flavour. In addition, he has a wide repertoire of Yiddish, English and Spanish songs. At the Miles Nadal JCC, Yitzhak performed at the 2015 Jewish Music Week program “Celebrating Israel in Song” and to a standing ovation at last year’s Yom Ha’atzmaut concert “Eretz Zavat Chalav”.
