LGBTQ Elders' Social Drop-In

LGBTQ-identifying elders are invited to share a cup of coffee, stories, and questions in a safe and supportive space. The LGBTQ Elders Social Drop-In offers a weekly opportunity to connect and learn through discussion, guest speakers, and stimulating activities on a wide range of subjects. All are welcome, regardless of gender identity, gender expression or sexual orientation. Help shape the conversation!

Coffee provided. Bring your own brown bag lunch.

Facilitator Andi Yumansky has a diploma in Community Work from George Brown College and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Pastoral Studies at Emmanuel College and a career in Jewish Chaplaincy. They conducted the first LGBTQ Jewish Community Needs Assessment Study in Toronto with the MNjcc and Kulanu Toronto.

LGBTQ Wise Aging with Dr. Elaine Cooper: 5 part series

In small groups, we will explore the years beyond midlife as an opportunity for growth and discovery. Engaging in discussion based in text study, reflection, and contemplative activities on a wide range of relevant topics:

- Revitalizing relationships
- Living with loss and change
- Cultivating spiritual qualities for well being
- Conducting a "life review"
- Practicing forgiveness
