Osteo-Circuit is an individualized, progressive and fun fitness program. It provides evidence-based assessments and supervised exercise for individuals with osteoporosis and/or other chronic conditions, and it is presented in four phases to help improve your bone health.

Musical Theatre will return as a camp. In the meantime Theatre Direct is offering a fabulous drama program. Theatre Direct's Drama School in Association with the MNjcc. An active, engaging creative workout for young people that encourages collaboration, cooperation, and imagination.

ASL I Fall2017 webicon
Thursdays, January 18 - March 22, 2018. No class February 1 and March 8.

7:15 - 8:15 pm

This fun and engaging beginners’ class involves development of American Sign Language (ASL) skills, including vocabulary, finger spelling and the introduction of grammatical structures. Deaf Culture studies will be incorporated into the curriculum.

A high energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to soccer, with a focus on character development and confidence-building. (Ages 3-7)

Tuesdays, February 6 - March 6, 2018
4:00 - 8:00 pm

Designed for young adults with developmental disabilities and ASD and open to all. Cook, meet new people and gain valuable customer service experience. Make and share dinner each night and prepare healthy snacks to sell in the Fitness Centre. Facilitated by Dream Weavers: An Occupational Therapy Collective.

Wednesdays, April 19 - June 28

Do you love someone with dementia? This supportive skills-based program helps you learn to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Includes a concurrent stimulating and creative workshop for your family member experiencing dementia. Confidentiality assured. 10-week program. FREE. Meets Wednesday afternoons. Doctors' referrals welcome.

Disability Visibility Web Icon

April - January

Youth 18-30 who identify with the experience of disability will work with guest artists to develop media arts and photography skills, and to explore disability, identity, and community. Project culminates in a gallery show.

Jungle Gym gives young ones a place to run around in a safe but unstructured play space! Our everpopular jungle gym is expanding this year with more equipment, a new bouncy castle and plenty of fun theme days!
We are always pleased to welcome families through our partnership with the Down Syndrome Association of Toronto (discount available through DSAT).

Designed by physiotherapists at Toronto Rehab, TIME is a safe, gentle, and fun exercise program for people experiencing balance and mobility challenges. TIME was developed for participants who have experienced stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis (MS) and other conditions including weakness after a hospital stay or an operation. Stay active and healthy!

(Previously known as Osteofit) Maintaining strong bones are an essential part of an active lifestyle. Studies have shown that the following elements of fitness will help improve the health of your bones and help prevent fall-related injuries. This program is designed to cater to older adults with osteopenia or osteoporosis. All of our instructors are older adult fitness specialists and some are BoneFit™ trained with Osteoporosis Canada.
Focus areas in this fitness program are: gaining muscular strength to improve balance and overall body composition, improving cardiovascular health and muscular endurance through low-impact aerobic exercises and increasing bone density through weight bearing exercises.

Swimming instructor and young student in waterOur private swim lessons are designed to improve swimming abilities through one-on-one instruction. Students of all ages have experienced success and expedited learning through private lessons.

Semi and Group Private Lessons

In addition to one-on-one private lessons, we provide semi private and group private lessons. Semi private lessons have a 1:2 students to instructor ratio, and group private lessons have a 1:3 or 4 students to instructor ratio. The Aquatics department at Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre does not match up participants for semi and group private lessons.
